MØ, Hamburg, Docks
MØ (Karen Marie Agaard Ørsted Andersen) is a Danish singer and songwriter. On the 7th of October 2016 she came to Hamburg and my friend Jule was so kind to take me with her.
A few weeks before the concert I discovered MØ and found out she would be coming to Hamburg. Sadly I didn't have enough money to buy a ticket for her concert, as I spent all my money on other concerts, so obviously I was more than happy when my friend Jule asked me if I wanted to go with her.
We met about an hour before the doors opened and when we reached the venue after going to buy something little to drink, we went inside, as most people have already been inside. When we entered the venue it was pretty full and Jule and I didn't even bother going into the crowd, so we went upstairs, bcause it was less crowded and we wanted to see the whole show and not just a few heads in front of us, blocking the whole view. And indeed, when we came upstairs there were a few people but we felt way more comfortable being up there than downstairs in the middle of the crowd.
We didn't have to wait long before the support act Cosby started. I didn't know them before the concert and was really surprised by there music. They were from Germany, so the communication between them and the crowd was pretty easy. They made some indi-pop-rock kinda music and I really enjoyed their show. I gotta say they were propably one of my favorite support acts of this year, so I'm leaving you their facebook page below this post.
When Cosby was done performing, the crew of MØ came up and changed the set of the change, while my friend and I just talked to get time pass by faster.
Suddenly the lights went out and the crowd started cheering, as MØ and her band came up the stage. She was wearing a St.Pauli shirt, which is a typical souvenir from Hamburg, with som black vintage style pants. I immediately felt like she liked Hamburg what made me even more excited for the concert.
The show was incredible! MØ danced like a maniac on the stage and gave all her energy to the crowd and filled the room with joy as she was jumping up and down, rolling around on the stage and doing lots of other crazy stuff, before she went into the crowd. At some point MØ left the stage and walked into the crowd where she would stop and keep performing with her fansa all around her. She then walked up to the bar and jumped on it and performed there for a while. It was incredible seeing her moving around the whole venue so everyone would be able to catch a glimpse on her and see her from close up. She seemed to enjoy the show and really love her fans and all the performing.
She went back to the stage - again through the crowd - and continued doing her thing on the stage while the crowd still went crazy with her. The band and MØ performed a few more songs and the encore, including her famous single "Final Song", before she thanked everyone for coming out and watching her show. In the end she also said she will be out right after the show to meet people at the Merchandise. She then left the stage and so my friend and I left the venue, with big smiles on our face, completely tired but happy.
MØ put on a hell of a show and I would definitely pay to see her again as soon as she comes back! She was so down to earth and didn't seem afraid of her fans, like a lot of other celebrities, she seemed to feel incredibly well around them and like she wanted to give all of them a good feeling and showing them that they are everything to her! I was amazed when I left the venue and didn't regret a minute of it.
